I keep telling y’all that FACEBOOK can cost you your job. This week, a Georgia officer is in the news after claiming to have been fired over things he wrote on his FACEBOOK page.
In what can only be described as ummm STUPID… ORLANDO JAMES "OJ" CONCEPTION was terminated after posting on Facebook what his former employer, Sandy Springs Police, claim were demeaning comments about the department and its staff.
They also allege the Sergeant described plainclothes police operations and violated operational security while Conception claims that is page is private and feels that he did nothing wrong.
In one posting, OJ [*giggles* how appropriate] revealed that he was working on an FBI task force.
“Orlando J. Conception is working with the FBI this week… I smell a million dollar drug seizure coming our way soon.”
When asked if he believed the posting endangered anyone, Concepcion said he was just “so excited just being a part of the FBI task force.”
Another FACEBOOK posting from Conception suggested authorities would be raiding an area between two specific streets. When asked again if he believed he was endangering anyone, he again said no, stating that he felt the department was “digging into [his] personal life.”
Now, I’m all for social networking, but com’on son! *Ed Lover Voice* As an officer of the law, I would expect way more from this guy. It’s apparent that he’s not even smarter than a 5th grader. What seems like common sense seems totally lost on him.
Conception says he was surprised to hear he’d be fired in large part for his postings on the popular social networking website. He alleges that other officers have committed similar and/or worse offenses without reprimand. Conception says a white officer posted racially charged comments on his Facebook page and has not been fired. He also claims a female officer has posted inappropriate photos of herself on her page and has not been disciplined.
His attorney, Mike Puglise is seeking to win his client’s job back and to clear his name. <~~ Good luck with that.

BILLBOARD Releases "BEST OF THE 2000s" ONE-HIT WONDERS!!!
Billboard.com has begun its rollout of "Best of the 2000s" content, beginning with a list of top one-hit wonders. Daniel Powter's "Bad Day," the song that was used to see off rejected contestants on the fifth season of American Idol, beat out songs including Terror Squad's "Lean Back" and Crazy Town's "Butterfy."
The list includes a few less-obvious picks, such as Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" and James Blunt's "You're Beautiful," both chosen because they brought the artists commercial success that was never repeated. Picks such as Dream's "He Loves Me Not" and Blu Cantrell's "Hit Em Up Style (Oops!)" reach further back into the start of the decade.

BRYANT GUMBEL is RECOVERING from LUNG CANCER SURGERY & TREATMENT!!!
BRYANY GUMBEL says he's recovering from lung cancer surgery and treatment.
The former "TODAY" show anchor, and current host of "REAL SPORTS" on HBO; says a malignant tumor and part of his lung were removed two months ago. He revealed his condition to Kelly Ripa while he was subbing for co-host Regis Philbin on "Live With Regis and Kelly" on Tuesday.
Gumbel says he had preferred to keep his condition private and only told Ripa backstage to explain why he couldn't dance with her during a segment on the show.
The 61-year-old Gumbel says he's meeting with his surgeon and oncologist next week and hopes to be cleared to play golf soon.

ELF Threatens SANTA with a BOMB!!!
Meet WILLIAM C. CALDWELL, III, of MORROW, GA!!!
WILLIAM C. CALDWELL, III, was arrested WEDNESDAY, Decmber 3, 2009, after he threatened SANTA CLAUS with a bomb. The bizarre incident occurred inside the SOUTHLAKE MALL concourse in South ATLANTA, where children and parents all waited in line to take their holiday pictures. Caldwell, dressed as an ELF, walked into the area requesting his picture taken with Mr. Claus.
As workers prepared to take the photo, he informed Santa he had dynamite in his bag. Obviously disturbed by the revelation, Santa immediately notified mall security who contacted the MORROW Police Department. The mall was evacuated around 6:45 p.m. and did not reopen after authorities discovered three suspicious bags near Santa’s area.
Authorities blocked off roads and established a perimeter around the mall while the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Bomb Unit was dispatched to the scene. Police searched the entire mall complex and no dynamite was found. They gave the all clear around 10 p.m.
Caldwell was arrested and charged with MAKING TERRORISTIC THREATS, FALSE PUBLIC ALARM, RECKLESS CONDUCT, POSSESSION OF A HOAX DEVICE, FALSE IMPRISONMENT, and SIMPLE ASSAULT.
